Chandigarh, Nov 6 The Government Railway Police (GRP) in Haryana's Karnal town have arrested 13 people, including the main accused, for allegedly raping a minor girl near Bajida Jatan railway station Friday.
A spokesman of Haryana Police said here Monday that besides main accused Ravi, those arrested included a woman who had helped the 16-year-old girl's rapists. Two more accused were still at large, he added.
He said that the assistant station master of Bajida Jatan railway station in Karnal district telephoned the GRP police station at Karnal Nov 3 that a boy and a minor girl were roaming around at the railway station under suspicious circumstances.
On questioning, it appeared to him that the boy had kidnapped the girl with the intention of marrying her. The girl was questioned, but in the meantime, the boy managed to escape, the spokesman said.
Police registered a case following a statement by the victim, who belongs to Tarori town of Karnal district. She claimed that she was allegedly raped by 13 men.
The spokesman said that the victim was called by a woman of her locality and was subjected to sex with two boys. While returning to her house, she was raped by 11 more people. After that she was taken to the railway station by one more person who was seen by the assistant station master at the railway station.
