UPA will die its own death, says Gadkari March 27, 2011
Ranchi, March 27 The United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government would die its own death and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would form the government after the 2014 general elections, Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) president Nitin Gadkari said here Saturday.
"The central UPA government is a cancer for the country and it will die its own death. The NDA will form the government at the centre in 2014," Gadkari said, addressing party workers here.
The BJP leader was in Ranchi to take part in the party's "Karyakarta Mahasammelan" (workers' convention).
He criticised the Congress, holding it responsible for the misery of the country. He also took a dig at the Congress leadership.
"In the Congress one can dream to become the prime minister, but one cannot dream to become the president of the party," he said, adding that "the BJP is the only party where workers are given proper place".
Gadkari urged the party workers to launch agitation at block and village level from April 6 to expose the central government'a misdeeds.
The BJP leader was received at the airport by Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda.
This was Gadkari's first visit to Ranchi after becoming the party president. He will return to New Delhi Sunday evening.
