Sumptuous I-Day brunch at Renaissance August 11, 2010
After attending a flag hoisting ceremony, if a lavish brunch with family is on your mind, head straight to Mumbai’s Renaissance Hotel. The hotel’s in-site Lake View Café is hosting a special Independence Day brunch between 12:30 pm to 4 pm.

In keeping with the religious fervour of the day, the menu has been designed to showcase the best of India’s regional cuisine. Live counters will be set up to serve an assortment of pakoras, paranthas, masala chaat and keema kaleji. For main course, you can try out delicacies such as raan changezi, murg mussalam, nihari gosht, hara bhara kebab and paneer tikka masala to name a few.

To compliment your meal, order a Mojito or a Long Island Iced Tea among a host of cocktails. But don’t miss out the desserts; traditional favourites like kesar ki jalebi and falooda will be whipped up for the occasion.

From hostesses clad in sarees to dining tables set in rustic style complete with earthen pots and flowers, every minute detail has been taken care of to enhance the ambience. For your kids, there is a special activity area where they can keep themselves occupied.
