Lemon cakes and sesame prawns for you… July 16, 2010
Do you enjoy Oriental cuisine at fine-dine restaurants, but have never known how to rustle one up at home?

Stress not as we bring you an array of chef-recommended Oriental recipes that make for a no-nonsense fare and are utterly lip-smacking.

Spicy corn and lemon cake
Ingredients:
American corn 180 gm
Chopped vegetables 20 mg
Red curry paste 10 gm
Corn flour and maida 20 gm
Lime leaf 1
Salt 5 gm
Mono sodium glutamates 5 gm
Basil leaves chopped 3

Method:
1. After readying the ingredients, blend them together and deep fry.
2. Serve hot with honey chilli sauce.

Sesame coated prawn balls
Ingredients:
Prawns minced 180 gm
Ginger chopped 2 gm
Corn flour and maida 30 gm
Rested sesame seed 10 gm
Garlic 2 gm
Oyster sauce 4 ml
Monosodium glutamates 3 gm
Egg yoke 20 ml
Fresh green chilli chopped 5 gm

Method:
1. Mix all the ingredients together and make small round balls out of it.
2. Sprinkle sesame seed on the balls, and deep fry until crispy. Serve with sesame soy sauce.

Vegetable sautéed with hot basil sauce
Ingredients:
Fresh basil leaf 5 gm
Mixed vegetables 180 gm
Garlic 2 gm
Corn flour 15 gm
Salt 5 gm
Corn flour liquid 3 ml
Light soy sauce 4 ml
Sugar 2 gm
Pepper corn 2 gm

Method:
1. After readying all ingredients, mix the vegetables together and add corn flour to it and blend well before deep frying the mixture.
2. Take garlic sauté and make a sauce out of it, and mix it with the fried vegetables.
3. Garnish the dish with basil leaves and serve.

Crispy potato with honey chilly sauce
Ingredients:
Finger cut potato 100 gm
Honey chilli sauce 60 ml
Scallion stamp 30 gm
Corn flour 10 gm

Method:
1. After readying all ingredients, coat the finger cut potato pieces with corn flour and deep fry it.
2. Add honey chilli sauce to the sautéed potatoes.
3. Garnish with Scallion and serve hot.

Yasai Tameh
Ingredients:
Seasonal vegetables 150 gm
Japanese soy sauce 30 ml
Dossinomoto 3 gm
Chinese cabbage and bock choi 10 gm
Sake sauce 2 ml
Olive oil 5 ml
Dark soy sauce 2 ml

Method:
1. Ready all the ingredients and sauté all vegetables in 5 ml oil. Then add Kikkoman soy sauce.
2. Add dossinomoto sake dark soy sauce and stir fry.
3. You can add scallion to this dish as well.
