Hot Gigs in town February 11, 2010
New Delhi, (DMA Newsdesk): It is a cultural extravaganza, a kaleidoscope of sound and colour that is sure to leave everyone enchanted, enthralled and enlightened. The annual Delhi Festival begining February 6 is one of the most awaited event in the city's cultural calendar.

From music and dance performances to thetare and gigs there's something for everyone. If that's not enough you can sample the flavours of purani dilli or choose from array of regional cuisine.

Organised by The Times of India, the Delhi Festival is an attempt to celebrate the spirit of the city. It is a befitting tribute to Delhi's rich culture and history.

So get ready to experience this marvellous cultural rendezvous!

Delhi Festival:

Dharohar Purana Qila, Feb 6, 7 pm: Tune in for a power-packed musical jugalbandi by tabla maestro Zakir Hussain and evergreen Hariharan, celebrating the rich heritage of Delhi through music.

Dharohar, Purana Qila, Feb7, 7 pm: The old fort echoes with the strings of sarod , as Ustad Amjad Ali Khan weaves musical magic with Jaipur Kawa brass band.

Culture Curry, Sathya Sai Auditorium, Feb 8, 7 pm: Dayashankar Ki Diary (Hindi Drama ) by Nadira Zaheer Babbar is about crushed hopes. Dayashankar is a dreamer who wants to make it big as an actor, but ends up being a lower division clerk.

Culture Curry, Sathya Sai Auditorium, Feb 9, 7 pm: Love Letters (English Play) directed by Rahul da Cunha, stars the multi-faceted duo Rajit Kapoor and Shernaz Patel.

Culture Curry, Sathya Sai Auditorim, Feb 10, 7 pm: Bharatnatyam dance Shobha will enthrall you with her stunning performance.

Culture Curry, Sathya Sai Auditorium, Feb 11, 7 pm: Qawwali by Sabri Brothers and Niyazi Brothers, perhaps teh best known exponents of this genre.

Culture Curry, Sathya Sai Auditorium, Feb 12, 7 pm: Tune in for a fusin performance by Rajasthan Roots .

Culture Curry, Hamsadhwani Theatre, Feb 13, 7 pm: Bhangra brings to mind the images of Punjabi youth dancing to the tune of dhol. Hans Raj Hans will recreate the magic with some Punjabi folk and Sufi music.
