Brett Lee all set for passage to India Neena Bhandari September 4, 2008
Sydney, Australia's Hindi-speaking fast bowler Brett Lee is all set to tour India for the four Test Border-Gavaskar Trophy in October.

"Absolutely. I'm looking forward to it. Can't wait," said the 31-year-old cricketer, who has missed the One-day series against Bangladesh following the split with his podiatrist wife, Liz Kemp.

Lee, who is much adored in India, said he had been waiting to play a Test match in India. "That's something that's been burning inside of me for a long period of time now, so I'll be looking forward to getting over there. The crowds are brilliant, the people are so friendly and lovely. It's a tough place to play cricket but also one that is very enjoyable," he told reporters in Darwin.

"I'm right, I'm feeling fit, I'm feeling fresh and I'm looking forward to the next tour," said the paceman, who has played 61 Tests and 157 one-day internationals.

Australia departs for India on Sep 21 and Lee's coming on board would be a major boost for the Baggy Greens, especially as all-rounder Andrew Symonds may not be part of the squad to be announced next week.

Meanwhile, fans of the Australian cricketing legend can look forward to soon seeing him in action on the big screen. Lee, who has already become a sensation for his duets with Asha Bhonsle, is starring in "Victory", a Bollywood film on cricket to be produced by Vivek Aggarwal and Ajit Pal and scheduled for release soon.
