Jadeja stars in Super Kings' 74-run win over Deccan Chargers April 8, 2012
Visakhapatnam, April 8 Riding on all-round show by Ravindra Jadeja, title holders Chennai Super Kings defeated Deccan Chargers by 74 runs in their second match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy stadium here Saturday.

Jadeja starred with both bat and the bowl to turn the tide in favour of the Super Kings, who are chasing a hat-trick of titles.

Jadeja first struck a 29-ball 48 and then picked up five for 16 with his left-arm spin and Super Kings tasted a win after going down to Mumbai Indians in the inaugural match of season five.

Whirlwind knocks from Jadeja and Dwayne Bravo (43 not out) took the Super Kings to a mammoth 193 for six in 20 overs. In reply, Deccan Chargers were all out for 119 runs in 17.1 overs after stand-in skipper Cameron White top-scored with 23.

White erred in his decision making after he put Super Kings in to bat. Super Kings lost opener Murali Vijay (2) in the very first over but they were soon on track, courtesy Faf du Plesis (39) and Suresh Raina (16). Subramaniam Badrinath also came up with a valuable 25 runs.

Jadeja and Bravo ripped apart the Chargers in the later stages of the game to give Super Kings a huge total. Jadeja smacked three fours and three sixes in his 29-ball knock before getting hit-wicket.

Bravo entertained the packed crowd hitting five sixes during his 18-ball stay to take Super Kings to a mammoth total.

In reply, Deccan Chargers were off to a good start with Daniel Harris (15) and Shikhar Dhawan (21) but the hosts kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Parthiv Patel (20) and skipper White (23) were the other notable contributors.

Jadeja wrecked the Chargers middle-order picking Manpreet Gony (4), Ravi Teja and Dale Steyn (5) in his two consecutive overs.

Super Kings will now travel to Delhi to face Daredevils, Tuesday while Deccan Chargers will host Mumbai Indians here Monday.
