New Delhi, National Security Adviser M K Narayanan on Monday conveyed India’s concern to his Pakistani counterpart Mahmud Ali Durrani over the recent spurt in border ceasefire violations and the attack on its embassy in Kabul, which has been blamed on the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).

During the meeting, Narayanan reportedly emphasised that such incidents do not augur well for the ongoing peace process and the composite dialogue.

The two sides are believed to have looked at ways by which ceasefire violations could be ended.

Before the talks began, Foreign Secretary Shivshankar Menon said all issues that concern India would be discussed.

"We will discuss all the issues that concern us. Naturally, that includes what happened in Kabul as well as the situation in terms of maintaining the ceasefire," said Menon to reporters on the sidelines of a function.

"Durrani is an old friend. We know him and he has an interest in Indo-Pak relations for quite some years," Menon said, adding, "let us see what we can take forward".

The talks between the NSAs were a follow-up to the meeting between Singh and Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari in New York last month on the sidelines of UN General Assembly.
