Would-be brides and grooms, gear up for "Bridal Asia" August 20, 2008
New Delhi, Come October and it's time for the annual "Bridal Asia" wedding extravaganza with top notch designers like Ritu Beri, Tarun Tahiliani and Sabyasachi Mukherjee showcasing their bridal couture.

The 10th edition of "Bridal Asia" will be held at the Ashoka Hotel Oct 7-9 and will bring leading bridal couturiers, wedding planners, life-style designers and jewellery design houses under one roof.

"Weddings today are not just a match between two individuals. It is a moment when families rally together to lay out the red carpet and take the term celebration to a whole new realm," said Bridal Asia founder Divya Gurwara.

"We make this process of selecting the best a luxurious and enjoyable one for everyone," she added.

Among the other big names who will participate in the event and will be personally available for interacting with clients are Pallavi Jaikishan, Falguni & Shane Peacock, Bhairavi Jaikishan, Vinita Pittie, Elisha W. Azara, Ritika Bhasin, Anand Kabra, Niki Mahajan, Gopi Vaid, Anjalee & Arjun Kapoor, Vineet Bahl, Gaurav Gupta, Kiran Uttam Ghosh and many more.

No reliable figures are available for the Indian wedding market but various guesstimates place it at Rs.500-600 billion, with 15 percent annual growth.

"People want their weddings to make a statement and to be remembered. Bridal Asia offers a comprehensive range of solutions in such a large market and also acts as a platform for many entrepreneurs who specialize in exclusive wedding related services," Gurwara maintained.

Apart from bridal wear, jewellery and handbags, various accessory designers too will be exhibiting at the show.

There will be dazzling options in jewellery provided by Maharani Jewels, Notandas & Sons and Sangeeta Javeri - and Mumbai's design diva Queenie Dhody with her signature works.

For accessories and bags, designers Rina Shah of "Rinaldi", Neha Agarwal of "Nillaya" and Malini Agarwalla of "Malaga" will showcase their collections.

All excited about the forthcoming event, Gurwara said: "With a right mix of beauty, style, attitude, essence and value for money, we believe in providing a complete solution for trousseau and festive shopping under one roof."
