Balaji makes a comeback with IPL May 9, 2008
New Delhi, May 9: India fast bowler Lakshmipathy Balaji is back after a stress fracture kept him out of the game for two years.

The 26-year-old from Chennai turned out for his city franchise Super Kings in the Indian Premier League and bowled decently for his two for 35 from four overs to pave the way for his team to clinch a thriller against Delhi Daredevils at the Feroze Shah Kotla here Thursday evening.

The lanky medium pacer bowled over everyone with his impressive showing and charming smile on India's victorious tour of Pakistan in 2004.

The heavy load of international cricket took a toll of him and he lost his way injured.

Without going flat out, he managed to bowl in right areas to take the wickets of the in-form Gautam Gambhir and Pakistan skipper Shoiab Malik.
