Ganguly to play Ranji for Bengal November 18, 2008
Kolkata, Sourav Ganguly, who retired form international cricket a week back, will turn out for Bengal in the Ranji Trophy plate group match against Vidharbha at Nagpur from Dec 12.

"We had requested Sourav to turn out for Bengal in the coming Ranji Trophy matches. He agreed to our proposal. He has assured us that he will play the Vidharbha match," Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) joint-secretary Arun Mitra told reporters here Monday.

Mitra, however, said Ganguly was yet to confirm whether he will be seen in action in the other matches involving Bengal, particularly in the latter stages.

Ganguly refused to talk to the media about his decision.

The former India captain was at the Eden Gardens Monday to watch day two of Bengal's outing against Services in the Plate group.
