South Korean network banned from broadcasting Olympic opener August 9, 2008
Beijing, South Korean network SBS was banned by the International Olympic Committee from broadcasting Friday's opening ceremony of the Beijing Games.

SBS secretly filmed a rehearsal for the ceremony a few days ago.

Parts of the film were seen in the Internet before the video was pulled.

"We need to have ethic standards," said Wang Wei, general secretary of the Beijing Olympics organising committee, said.
