Dubai, Sachin Tendulkar is the highest ranked Indian batsman in the top-10 and opening batsman Gautam Gambhir has achieved his career-best placing in the latest International Cricket Council (ICC) one-day rankings released Sunday.

Tendulkar is third with 765 rating points and India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is ninth with 734 in the list which is headed by South African captain Graeme Smith (792). Australian skipper Ricky Ponting is second with 770 points.

Gambhir, who finished as the leading scorer of the tri-series in Bangladesh with 209 runs, is the fourth India batsman in the top 20 after Tendulkar, Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh, who is 14th.

The biggest jump in the batting list has come from India opener Virender Sehwag, whose 150 runs in the series has helped him rocket 11 places to 38th position.

None of the Indians feature among the top-10 bowlers as banned spinner Harbhajan Singh slipped two places to the 20th spot.
