Four TRS MPs submit resignations March 4, 2008
Dissatisfied with the political situations, sixteen Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) legislators submitted their resignations to Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker K R Suresh Reddy on Tuesday. While on Monday, four TRS MPs submitted their resignations to the Lok Sabha Speaker.

According to the TRS MPs, including their leader K Chandrashekhar Rao, the UPA had promised them a separate state for Telangana. However, the TRS MPs accused the UPA government of failing to fulfill their promises on the issue and handed in their resignations on Monday.

As a result of these resignations, Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee has expressed disappointment and stated his unhappiness as this is a concern that the TRS members were gradually reducing the numbers.
