"I too lost my father", Rahul tells slain cop's son October 16, 2009
New Delhi: Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi is on a two-day trip to Jharkhand.

During this trip he made a surprise visit to Jharkhand police special branch slain inspector Francis Induwar’s house. Induwar was beheaded by Naxals in Kunti last week.

The family was happy with Rahul’s visit and appreciated his initiative.

“I am glad he came to visit us. He told my kids what happened when he lost his father at an early age,” said Induwar’s wife, Sunita Induwar.

“It was very nice. He asked about our school, pour teachers. He told us what happened with him, his father,” added Induwar’s sons Abhishek Induwar and Manish Induwar.

Induwar's youngest son told Rahul that he wants to grow up as a policeman and fight the Naxals who killed his father.

This was the message Rahul carried forward and laid down his ideas on how to tackle Naxal menace.

“There are two elements to the Naxal problem. First is that the government of Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh are not reaching to the people and second is that as the government is not reaching to the people it has turned into a law and order problem,” he said.

In his two-day trip to Jharkhand, Rahul will visit Naxal affected districts of Hazaribagh, Ranchi and Chaibasa, where the crackdown on the Naxals is on.

Hazaribagh police revealed that two of the senior Naxal leaders were arrested this week and they hope to recover more leads from them about the Naxal activities in the region.
