PM assures Haryana on help to deal with floods July 8, 2010
Chandigarh: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has promised all help to the Haryana government to deal with the flood-like situation in parts of the state due to heavy rains in the last three days, Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said late Wednesday.

"Prime minister has assured all help from the central government to intensify the rescue and relief operation in the flood-affected areas of the state," Hooda said, adding that he had talked to the prime minister over telephone.

Haryana's Kurukshetra and Ambala districts were the worst affected by the floods, which disrupted rail and road traffic in many areas.
