New Delhi: Actor Vindu Dara Singh, who rose to prominence after his victory on reality show "Bigg Boss 3", is amused about being offered comedy or hero-like roles because he considers himself a perfect Bollywood villain.

"I prayed to Amrish Puriji that I want to play a villain's role. But I don't know what happened after 'Bigg Boss' that people started saying that they don't want me in a villain's role at all," Vindu told IANS here.

"They want me to play a good role. God knows when the fever of 'Bigg Boss' will die, and I'll get to play a villain's role. I consider myself a big champion in a villain's role."

He admits that his stint on "Bigg Boss 3" has given him his due in showbiz, but at the same time Vindu feels he can never come out of the shadow of his father, veteran actor and wrestler Dara Singh.

"I've added my father's name to my name, so how will I ever come out of his image? I think it's a blessing that I was born to Dara Singh. I have no regrets. I would never be able to come out of his image and I think it's great to be known as his son," said Vindu.

"I think having parents like Amitji (Amitabh Bachchan) and Dharmendra uncle, their children would love to be called their children forever. It's an honour and for me, being known as Dara Singh's son is one," he added.

Vindu, who will now be seen as a judge on Colors' new children's dance show "Chak Dhoom Dhoom", made his acting debut with the movie "Karan" in 1994. He was in the capital to promote the dance show.

He went on to do bit roles in films and featured in various shows on Doordarshan. Later, he played Lord Hanuman in the serial "Jai Shri Hanuman", like his father did in the super-hit mythological serial "Ramayan".

He also played negative roles in soaps like "Ssshhhh?Koi Hai" and "Karma", but failed to make a large impact in either media.

However, his life has undergone a positive change after "Bigg Boss 3".

"I'm getting a lot of offers everyday after 'Bigg Boss'. I cannot take everything at the same time, but the good thing is that the whole of India now knows me as Vindu. That was the prime reason why I went for 'Bigg Boss' and that has happened. But I never expected so much love," he said.

The 45-year-old currently has his hands full with roles in four movies as well as the new reality show "Chak Dhoom Dhoom". He will play a sensitive judge on the show that

will also see choreographers Saroj Khan and Ahmed Khan in the judges panel.

"I have three big movies right now. One is a Punjabi movie being directed by Guddu Dhanoa. It's called 'Lions of Punjab'. Another film is Anees Bazmee's new UTV film which has Akshay Kumar and Sanjay Dutt as heroes. Then I have Sajid Nadiadwala's movie with Salman Khan," he said.

Vindu is also working in David Dhawan's "Hook Ya Crook" that features John Abraham in the lead.

"David has a role for me in 'Hook Ya Crook'. I've done three movies with him in the past. One was 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi' - that was a good role, but later he gave two small roles. When he offered me 'Hook Ya Crook', I was shooting for 'Kambakkht Ishq' and I was about to go for 'Bigg Boss'. I was intentionally refusing any small roles. David got upset but I told him I want to do better roles.

"When I came out of 'Bigg Boss', he said he understood why I had rejected the role. Now he is writing a special role in that film," Vindu said.
