Julia Roberts to receive American Cinematheque award DMA newsdesk July 26, 2007
New York, July 26 , Award-winning Hollywood actress Julia Roberts has been selected for the prestigious American Cinematheque award which will be presented to her on Oct 12.

The cinema arts organisation, which currently screens restored classic films, said Roberts was the unanimous choice of the selection committee, contactmusic.com reported.

Incidentally, the "Pretty Woman" and "Erin Brockovich" star had presented the organisation's award to George Clooney last year.

American Cinematheque's group chairperson Rick Nicita said in a statement: "Julia Roberts is a true movie star who has delighted audiences and critics in so many pictures."
