Art:

Ars Longa, Vita Brevis, Visual Arts Gallery, IHC, fEB 2W1-24, 11 am- 7 pm: This art show is a tribute to everyone associated with the medical profession. Subjects, moods and moments mingle to create works of art that gives us a glimpse of the artistic imagination of the healers and the healed.

Abhang, Apparao Galleries, Triveni Garden Theatre, Tansen Marg, on till Feb 27, 11 am- 7 pm: Abstract painter Rajesh Patil presents non-representational forms in leafy green tones. With subtle tonal variations that create the effect of foliage, his works draw inspiration from Indian tribal culture, philosophy and religion.

Captured Glass, Arpana Caur Academy of Fine Arts and Literature, 4/6 Siri Fort Road, Feb 20-28 11 am- 7 pm: Stained glass, stone carvi9ngs and etchings come together in Divyya Nirula and Arjun Nirula's art show. Inspired by universal mysticism, the works render a beautiful fusion of glass and stone with the play of light and dark.

Art in Mind, Open Palm Court Gallery, IHC, fEB 22-28, 11 am-7 pm: This show explores the process of spirituality through semi-realistic and abstract colourful artworks by painer photographers Chanchal Ganguly and Ashwani Prithvi and sculptour S C Ahuja.

Paintings and Prints, Alliance Francaise, Feb 23-28, 11 am-7 pm: Ananda Moy Banerji looks closely at the structure of society and the individual. His recent works are concentrated on exploring themes which are in a way reflection of his personal life and his observation of what goes around him.

Unfold the Soul, Dhoomimal City Gallery, till Feb 28, 11 am-7 pm: Dinesh Kumar Ram uses colours and forms to explore the affinity of musical rhythm in life and nature.

Reflections of A Bygone Era, Delhi "o" Delhi Foyer, IHC, on till Feb 28 11 am- 7pm: Rohit Sharma explores the realms of nostalgia, romance and prayer through a series of oils and watercolours.

Between Heaven and Earth, Shridharani Gallery, Triveni Kala Sangam, on till Feb 28, 11 am-7 pm: Curated by Prof B N Goswamy, late miniature artist Bireswar Sen's semi-retrospective consists of more than 80 small-format paintings that capture the grandeur of nature and Himalayas.
