Fully equipped ESI Hospital at Bhiwadi Industrial Area dmanewsdesk July 7, 2008
July 7, 2008, Bhiwadi Shri Oscar Fernandes, Hon'ble Minister of State for Labour & Employment (Independent Charge), Govt. of India today laid the foundation stone of 100 Bedded ESI Hospital at Bhiwadi, Rajasthan.

The proposed hospital will be fully equipped with sophisticated equipments like MRI / CT Scan besides dialysis treatment, a bed strength of 100 with an expert team of medical and paramedical personnel. The building will be constructed with the state of art design having all amenities to provide better services to the beneficiaries attached with this Hospital at Bhiwadi.The hospital is aimed to cater to the needs of the employees and family members of Rajasthan. At present, there are about 1045 Employers covering about 35,553 employees and 38,822 IPs in the industrial areas of Bhiwadi.

The largest medical infrastructure in India belongs to ESI. But organized sector employees do not use it because of the lack of doctors, infrastructure and medicines. Since public and private competition coexist with them, ESI is reforming and emerging as the preferred option for industrial establishments to cover employees as the initial step towards restructuring. Shri Prabhat C. Chaturvedi, Director General, Employees' State Insurance Corporation has started the process of upgrading of ESIC Hospitals for providing better medical services to the beneficiaries such as ISO Certification of all Model Hospitals and Regional Offices, setting up and starting of Medical Colleges, Nursing Colleges, Dental Colleges and other para-medical schools in ESI Hospitals.

The Employees State Insurance Corporation runs a unique social security scheme which has the feature of an insurance organization as well as service provider for health related needs of the insured persons under the scheme. The Corporation has the largest team of medical and para-medical personnel in India and also has one of the largest medical infrastructures in the world. It has huge infrastructure of 144 Hospitals, 42 Hospitals Annexes, 1388 ESI Dispensaries, 1942 Panel Clinics, 300 Diagnostics Centres, 813 Branch/Pay Offices and 45 Regional/Sub-Regional/Divisional Offices.

Shri Sis Ram Ola, Hon'ble Minister for Mines, Govt. of India graced the ceremony as Chief Guest. The Function was presided over by Shri Santosh Bagrodia, Hon'ble Minister of State for Coal, Govt. of India. Shri Ram Kishore Meena, Hon'ble Minister of Labour & employment, Govt. of India, Shri Narpat Singh Rajvi, Hon'ble Minister of Medical & Health, Family Welfare, Govt. of Rajathan, Shri Ashok Gehlot, Hon'ble M.L.A. besides other dignitaries.
