Busy day for cheerleaders amid blitzkriegs April 25, 2008
Hyderabad, April 25: The cheerleaders at the the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium here had a heavy day onThursday as top batsmen of Deccan Chargers and Rajasthan Royals kept scorers busy though spectators could not complain.

First it was Andrew Symonds of the home team whose blitzkrieg set the stadium afire and then Yusuf Pathan of Rajasthan Royals rained fours and sixes.

The cheerleaders from both sides danced to the every shot or at the fall of every wicket. Clad in skimpy outfit and with pompoms, they were the centre of attraction.

A dozen cheerleaders were out for each of the two teams. Standing on six specially erected platforms around the ground, they were cheering their respective teams.

Deccan Chargers have brought a group of cheerleaders from Australia, who perform for their rugby team - they are performing in cricket matches for the first time.
