Aussies sad with Hayden's raprimand February 28, 2008
The Australian media reports that the Australian team is team is unhappy that Matthew Hayden got reprimanded for a lighthearted interview.

Australians justify that Hayden's comment on team India's Harbhajan Singh was only part of a lighthearted FM radio interview, to promote the otherwise poor ticket sales for the second ODI final in Brisbane on Tuesday.

A paper also says that the players are annoyed with Cricket Australia continuing to kowtow to a constantly threatening and whining Board of Control for Cricket in India.

The Sydney Morning Herald says, “The incident sets an unpleasant scene ahead of Sunday's first tri-series final between the two teams, in Sydney.”

The Daily Telegraph says, "These comments have poured more fuel on what already will be an explosive best-of-three finals series between the nations, starting in Sydney on Sunday."

The Melbourne Herald Sun also says, “The spat has set up an explosive one-day finals series after Harbhajan on Wednesday reacted with venom to Hayden.”

Meanwhile, Hayden says he respects the Cricket Australia's decision.

At the hearing Hayden said, "I stand by my innocence, I didn't want to denigrate any player. Right now my focus is on the tri-series finals, which we badly want to win."
