Anil Kumble donates his eyes March 3, 2008
The Indian leg spinner Anil Kumble has pledged to donate his eyes at a hospital in Bangalore on Sunday. Although India could not win on the field, Kumble’s decision is really a great gesture off the field.

Kumble stated his decision while inaugurating a new hospital, which offers specialised treatment in eye care.

He announced that he would donate his eyes after his death and urged more people to take the initiative to donate their eyes.
